PESACH IS COMING AND THE PRICES IN THE SHOPS FOR BASIC FOOD IS VERY EXPENSIVE.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE RABBONIM AND THE DO GOODERS IN OUR COMMUNITY, HOW DO THEY THINK THAT A NORMAL PERSON CAN AFFORD THESE PRICES.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WE MAKE YOUNGSTERS IN TO CROOKS THEY BORROW MONEY AND DO NOT PAY BACK, OR THEY DECIDED NOT TO BE SO FRUM, SO WE GET LOTS OF DROP OUTS FROM YIDDISHKEIT.
I THINK THE RABBONIM AND ASKONIM IN OUR COMMUNITY ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE REALTYS WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE COMMUNITY.

I have seen people with their trolleys piled high in kosher kingdom. It must cost them £500 a trolley.
Charities give money and food to lots of people so I think everyone in London has the necessary food for Pesach. But, even with this help, it’s a very expensive holiday.

THE KOSHER FOOD PROFIT PRICE MARGIN IS FAR TO HIGH, THAT IS HOW MUCH THE FOOD SELLERS WANT TO EARN IT IS THE SAME WITH CLOTH.
WE HAVE TO START FROM THE BEGINNING, IF THE PROPERTY PEOPLE AND SCHOOLS CHARGE A HIGH RENT AND FEES, IT HAS A RIPPLE EFFECT ON THE SHOPS, SERVICES,AND RETAILERS.
I HEARD A TERRIBLE STORY YESTERDAY ON THE TOMCHEI YOTZEI ENGLAND WHO GIVE MONEY TO KOLLEL PEOPLE IN ISRAEL,IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE FAMILY OF THE ORGANISERS IN ENGLAND YOU GET PLENTY OF MONEY, AND IF NOT YOU GET VERY LITTLE.
MALKA I AM SORRY, AS LONG AS WE HAVE CORRUPTION IN OUR FRUM COMMUNITY PRICES WILL STAY HIGH.
AND THE VERY RICH ARE TO BLAME CHARGING SUCH HIGH RENTS IN OUR AREA, I ALWAYS ASK HOW RICH DO THEY HAVE TO GET, TO FEEL THAT THEY HAVE TO DO FOR OTHERS.
I HAVE SEEN VERY RICH LOSE ALL THEIR MONEY, THEY THINK THEY CAN SUPPORT THE GRAND CHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN BUT HASHEM SHOWS THEM WHO IS BOSS.
I think some factories do special Pesach manufacturing runs so these cost more than usual. Also, some of the pure ingredients like olive oil oil and cocoa are also expensive. Also,because they don’t produce for the mass market then this pushes up prices.
As for properties, the sale prices are inflated. But, those renting out may have mortgages to cover, so if they have a 3k mortgage per month to cover, they are going to charge this and some more to cover costs. It’s tough, I am stuck in a small flat due to having a mortgage. But, many people rely on hosuing benefit to cover their rent so it’s not like they are paying their own money from a job. And, many are living in nice houses for free.
Kids aren’t brought up to think they have to work, even doing menial jobs at first. The Parents show a bad example by living off benefits and the kids follow. Now, it is changing because the government won’t pay people to have kids, etc. So people will have less kids and hopefully get jobs. Also, kids shouldn’t expect to be supported by the parents. Parents need to give them some tools to earn their own living. It’s nice if they can provide some help though. Also, in the long term Jews will have to move out of London as it is the most expensive place to live in the UK.
I could say so much but not on here. It’s not a way of life I was brought up to in terms of money and costs, benefits, etc. We were taught it is wrong to live off benefits.🤔

THE POINTS YOU MAKE ARE VERY TRUE, BUT YOU ADMIT THE COST OF LIVING GOES UP BECAUSE OF THE COST OF HOUSING, AND THE COST OF HOUSING IS IN THE HANDS OF THE RICH AND VERY RICH.

PASSOVER IS ONLY EIGHT DAYS, AND WE STOCK UP WITH FOOD OR RUBBISH FOR WEEKS ( AND THEN WE DUMP IT )
Too many people came to this country to live off the welfare state in the last 20 years. There is not enough housing around and it is all expensive. No one can afford to buy, move up the ladder or rent. The very rich buy property all over the world.

THE PROBLEM IN HOUSING IN THIS COUNTRY IS NOT THE WELFARE STATE.
THE REASON IS OTHER COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT RESIDENTS OF THIS COUNTRY TO BUY PROPERTY, TO BUY A PROPERTY WHO HAVE TO BECOME A RESIDENT OF THAT COUNTRY.
ALSO EVEN A RESIDENT IN THAT COUNTRY MAY NOT LEAVE THE PROPERTY EMPTY.
THAT IS WERE THE WHOLE HOUSING PROBLEM COMES FROM.
WE CAN NOT BE GENEROUS WITH OUR LAWS AND NOT EXPECT PROBLEMS.
