I guess the business man is just being kind but if people can't pay him back, he loses out. Credit is good when you buy the goods but not good when you have to pay for them a month later.

These people he refers to in Stamford Hill can afford to pay him but dont want to. It is very hard to get money out of SH people. They believe it's more important to give charity than to pay for articles or services. Most shops in SH have to rely on charity organisations to pay for their customers huge bills. Most weddings are paid for by charities even though the person may own dozens of houses. Why pay for others to eat. That is the people who have.
There are also 'have nots', who make sure these charities pay for everything. They buy as much nosh as they can. They go with all their families to weddings overseas. All paid by charity.
This sounds like a good life!
