HEIMISHE BUSINESS

IN YOUR UPDATE 23/07/2015
A HEIMISHE BUSINESS OWNER WRITES
ABOUT CUSTOMERS OWING SHOPS  LARGE SUMS OF MONEY
IT IS THE FALT NOT OF THE CUSTOMERS   BUT OF THE SHOP OWNERS.
GIVING THE PEOPLE
THE  POSIBILITY TO BUY AND NOT PAY.
I ONLY KNOW OF
TWO  SHOPS IN STAMFORD HILL WHO DO NOT GIVE CREDIT AND ENTICE THE PEOPLE TO BUY MORE THINGS THEN THEY CAN AFORD
MY DEAR SHOP KEEPER
IT IS YOUR VERY OWN GREED THAT MAKES THE PEOPLE BY AND NOT PAY
IF YOU SOLD CASH ONLY YOU WOULD NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM
YOU ARE NOT PROVIDING A SERVICE
IT IS NOT THE CUSTOMERS WHO ARE THE PROBLEMS  YOU ARE.

DO WE NEED SO MANY ITEMS IN OUR SHOPS IF I WAS A PARENT OF YOUNGSTER TO DAY
I WOULD NOT TAKE THEM IN TO A SHOP
DO YOU THINK ALL THE PEOPLE CAN AFORD TO GO ON HOLIDAYS
SO SHOP KEEPER HOLIDAYS COMES BEFORE YOU
BUT THATS OUR SOCIETY TO DAY
AND I DO NOT THINK IT IS GOING TO GET BETTER.

For once you are spot on Gaby, couldn't agree more!....I've been preaching this for years. Here in Antwerp we have the same problem too,People are so used to saying "schraab mir oif" which is something they wouldn't dream of doing when they shop in the supermarkets. Then they miraculously find enough cash in their wallets or their c.c. to pay the bill..My wife works in the second largest haimisher shop here and it's always a problem, although b"h most yidden do pay their bill by the end of the month, but there are too many who schlepp it out as if they are doing the baal habos a toiveh by paying something. Often when, especially before Rosh Hashonoh one phones these customers to remind them of their unpaid bills, they react "what?! the baal habos needs our money, does he? is buisiness so bad?!"....The chutspah people have, eating on someone else's cheshbon...If they're told that they've reached their credit limit and can't stretch it any further, they just "shop" elsewhere and start this rishus all over again...True the shops are to blame, but it's long got out of control, the only way this can be sorted out is if ALL the shops get together and decide that enough is enough,no more credit for anybody,it's cash on delivery, and those who owe us,we are going to put pressure on them by all legal means to make them start paying off their choivos....It's the only way to rid us of this cancer.
